Hi there,

I tried the forum search ('icon' / 'dock icon') and google, but couldn't find a solution for my idea.

I would like to be able to have an icon in the menu-bar for OF and not in the dock. This way there's one icon less cluttering the dock, and the usual functionality could also be offered with a drop-down from the menu-bar.

How can this be achieved?

Found by googling "hide dock icon mac" FWIW.

Scratch that -- getting rid of the dock icon seems to lose the app in the app switcher and you don't get the regular menus for it either. Unless you do all of your manipulations via keyboard shortcuts, that probably isn't what you want...
