I am still in the dark about what "working in the background" means for the OF iPhone app!!!
I have a convoluted IMAP folders and Smart Mailbox strategy for "pre" processing emails on the iPhone but would LOVE a send to inbox function!!!

Casper, we've added a couple of different ways for other applications to send information to OmniFocus, but developers of the other applications need to add code that does so.
The thing to do here would be to contact the developers of those applications and let them know you need this feature added to their app. If they email us, we're happy to help them.
