We've just released OmniGraffle and OmniGraffle Professional 5.3.3 on our website as well as submitting builds of this version to the Mac App Store.
This means that if you've purchased OmniGraffle from the Omni Store, you can immediately download the new version from our Downloads page or check for updates from within OmniGraffle itself; if you've purchased OmniGraffle via the Mac App Store, you'll have to wait a bit for the approval process to run its course.
What's changed in v5.3.3:
- Most importantly, Quick Look previews have been temporarily disabled on Mac OS X v10.7 (Lion) while we work out some performance issues which made Auto Save too slow when working with complex documents. (This made the app hang every time you switched away and back.) We plan to bring back Quick Look previews in our next update (after addressing these performance issues). People running on Mac OS X v10.6 or v10.5 will not be affected by this change.
- We've made an enhancement to the way canvases automatically adjust their size -- Along with adding a little extra padding between the canvas edge and the object, if you have a canvas that's not a multiple of printer sheets and set to auto-adjust its size, the canvas will grow to fit the window or fit the content, whichever is larger. This means an "infinite canvas" more or less, for those who aren't interested in printing, and this helps out quite a bit when working on one of these canvases and going into Full Screen mode on Lion.
- Some other handy bug fixes and stability improvements have been made as well, you can see them at the bottom of the Downloads page or on the Historical Release Notes page.
