Flextime is a well-reviewed alarmed timer which can be automated (through applescript) from Omnifocus.

The attached is a simple example of the kind of script which could be stored in ~/Library/Scripts/Applications/Omnifocus and placed on the Omnifocus toolbar using View/Customize Toolbar...

It starts Flextime running for any tasks that are selected in the Omnifocus contents window (if an estimated number of minutes is specified in their duration fields).

I'm wondering if there's a way to make flex time play a sound by default when the timer is up ? There doesn't seem to be anything in it's prefs to do so .

An "end cue" (a sound, spoken message, text display, or script launch) can be set for the end of each activity in a Flextime document.

I have modified the script so that it sets a sound by default at the end of each activity.

I was surprised that flextime didn't have any type of " default document " you could set up , but, it's still pretty young in it's lifecycle .

Easy to write a script which launches a particular routine document from Omnifocus - either one of your own, or one of the various supplied documents.

(Outside Omnifocus you can, of course, simply launch it by double-clicking, or Quicksilvering, a particular routine document).
