iCal alarms and blocking out daily timeframes Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
What might be really useful is to have an iCal style alerts on the iPhone indicating what is due when from various tasks made in OmniPlan and (using iCal possibly) to plan out a day using tasks created in OmniPlan.

---
Currently the only way to do this is:

iPhone or Mac in OmniFocus:
• Create a project
• List all the tasks
• Create a due date for each task
• Sync to server

Mac:
• Sync OmniFocus from server
• Sync with iCal
• Plan out day/s in iCal adding in alarms
• Sync to iPhone and to OmniFocus

iPhone:
• Task are listed in iCal
• Edit them and then sync back to Mac/iCal
• Any change to tasks are made in iCal are synced to Mac/iCal

Mac:
• iCal displays current plan where amends to due time and alarm is added again
• Sync iCal to OmniFocus, update and manage changed tasks (without time due)
• Sync back to iPhone and back around it goes again

I'd love to have iCal integration too!

Even if iOF just added in appointments with alarms to its own calendar, I'd at least be able to see what's happening "today" just by looking at my calendar. After all, that's where temporal information is supposed to be stored according to the great GTD master plan.

I currently have a bunch of calendars named "@Office", "@Home", etc named after contexts from my iGTD days. It would be nice if iOF could use those calendars too!

I've sent this thread in to the support ninjas as a feature request.
