Dependency help! Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi,

I am new to OmniPlan and am wondering what I am doing wrong here... I have all my tasks in, the dependencies set, and now when I shift task dates (by moving the gant), although the next task is dependent, it doesn't move that task.

Help is much appreciated.

Thanks!

Look at the task information inspector for the task that isn't moving like you expect. The schedule probably says "On specified date". Click "Reset". If you manually drag a task to a particular date (or type in a start/end date), OmniPlan figures you want that date, even if dependencies conflict with that. So if you want the dependencies to set the schedule, you should not drag tasks around manually.
