I'm a very satisfied OmniFocus user. Now that OO iPad is available, I'm considering purchasing both the desktop and iPad version.

My question is, how does the iPad version deal with attachments created in the desktop client?

Image attachments (assuming it's a format supported on iOS) will display inline. Other file types will show up as a file icon which you can tap on and will be presented with the standard options of Quick Look (if supported) or the Open In option to send it off to another app.

Thank you.

So, if I had a bunch of pdfs attached, which are part of the package file in the desktop client, then they'd be available on the iPad, correct? And if so, is there a limit to the size of the OO file on the iPad?

Yes, displaying PDFs inline isn't supported yet, but you can tap on it and Quick Look them. There is no size limit imposed by us. You will likely hit performance issues at some point though.
