I've done a quick search, and it seems like there's no information about exporting from OmniOutliner (Pro) to Microsoft PowerPoint -- I've looked in the built-in help, support pages, and forums.

I see that there are a variety of export options from OO -- are there any tricks by which one of these formats can then be imported into PowerPoint and retain the formatting? I realize I can do a plain text export, but I wonder if there's an easier way.

You could always go via Keynote ... if you have iWork, that is

Yeah, thought about that -- I don't have Keynote, but tried in vain to export to Keynote then open with PowerPoint (yeah, I know, it shouldn't work, but I was desperate).

For actually presenting, I don't mind throwing the OO file up on the screen and talking through it (people actually find it nice to look at). But it's hard when I have to *distribute* the file. It just feels terrible to have to export it to Word and see the resulting uglification of a beautiful outline!

A trip through keynote sounds like a lot of work. How about just distributing a PDF?
