easiest way to determine whether enough resources exist for a project Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
In Omniplan, what is the easiest way to determine whether enough resources exist for a project ?

In other words, for a set of tasks being done on a given day, I would like to know if I have enough resources to do the tasks...
What is the easiest way to accomplish this ?

Have you looked at the resource utilization view (View->Resource View)? That will show if any resources are overcommitted, as seen in the attached example. Note that leveling the project will tend to undo any overcommitments unless there are enough constraints to force a particular solution. Without the constraints on the example, leveling would spread the tasks over 3 days.

Thanks.
This helps, but it is "resource centric".
I am looking for a single location where I can see the sum of resources compared to the sum of resources needed.

Using a spreadsheet, this could be done by summing values of cells representing each resource needed and then comparing it with the overall resources available...
