Dialog box buttons and keystrokes Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
At least some dialog box buttons do not respond to keys like most mac dialogs.

For example, do File>Open File. Navigate to some html files. Highlight one and hit "return" or "enter", which should activate the default button and open the file. But nothing happens. You need to CLICK the open button.

Same for "cancel", usually hitting "escape" cancels a dialog like this. I can do command-period, but I'm so used to "escape".

In File>Open location, enter works, but not escape.

I can't duplicate the behavior in the Open File dialog. I wonder if you can scroll through the buttons using tab?

You're right though about the Open Location dialog.

Following the listed steps, neither the Return or Enter or spacebar activate the "Open" button. Esc doesn't click cancel, neither.

I have Enable Access for Assistive Devices selected in my Mac preferences, as well as "Tab selects links and form controls" in Omni's preferences.

Similar UI weirdness showed up in testing: command-comma to get Omni's prefs, tab to select "Show All" in its button bar, space to activate it but then tab no longer selects anything.

I get this too.

You can add the "select" button in the "save linked images" dialog to the list of default OS buttons that do not respond to "return/enter"

The return key works in this dialog for me, but the downloading doesn't.
