All, just to add to the discussion, I had the same problem, but with VLC. Quit VLC and pointer based editing works fine now.

Rdio causes the same problem
Which is a real drag(!); I'd really prefer to listen to music while I work. Last edited by oggle; 2013-01-22 at 06:18 PM.. Reason: Title not visible
