How to remove action from project but keep it? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
And here are some basic GTD methodology guidelines that will help my message make more sense...

A Project in GTD is defined as any outcome that requires more than one action step to complete.

A Next Action in GTD is defined as your next physical, visible next step. OmniFocus is putting all of these under Contexts. (BTW--contexts are optional" in GTD. Don't feel you need to be using all of the contexts OmniFocus gives you to feel like you're "doing" GTD correctly. I've coached plenty of people are set them up on 4 simple lists only: Projects, Next Actions, Waiting For, and Someday Maybe). In OmniFocus, any next actions that are not assigned to a project go under the "Miscelleneous" project, which we suggest changing to the name "---" to be more visually appealing.

A future action is something that you can't act on now, but will be able to in the future. It's dependent on something else happening first.

A Waiting For is something that is waiting on someone or something else. It might have started as your next action, but is now something that is dependent on something else.
