Is there any way currently, with a hack or hidden pref, to prevent blocked ads from turning green when rolled over?

I like having the empty placeholder, the green not so much.

I found the pref pane "Secrets" that allows setting a pref to disable the text when rolled over, just not the green.

I'd like to know how to eliminate the green space as well.
