Hi all,

Been using OmniO-pro for quite a while and it's an indispensable part of my work flow (especially when combined with Yojimbo!). One minor issue continues to annoy me, though, and I'm hoping there's a solution I've just overlooked.

I like my application/document windows to all be the same size and in the same location, just short of full screen. With most applications, once you set the window size/location, it keeps that in mind for all new documents/windows. OmniO, however, opens new documents all over the place.

Is there anything I can do to pin them down to where I want them, or am I really limited to simply dragging them to where I want them after they open?

Like the man said, it is a pain, having them open everywhere but what really would be nice is the ability to lock in the window size, so I would not be tempted to make it wider, I wish all my apps had that feature, anybody else feel that way.

Window locations are saved in the preferences. So, this unfortunately means there's no way to reference the spot you want new documents to be created at. Should the location be saved in the files instead of the preferences, then it could be possible as you could use the saved position of the template.

Window size is saved for the files, so if you set the size of the default template to what you want, any new documents will be created with that size. To do this, go to the OmniOutliner menu -> Preferences -> Edit New Document Template, then size the window to how you want it and save the file.
