Replace database with one from iPhone Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
This is a simple question, but I wasn't able find it in past threads. How would I go about replacing my current database on OF desktop with the database on my iphone?

I see in the file menu how to replace the iphone data base with the current OF one, but not the other way round.

One way is to quit OmniFocus, go to the Library/Application Support/OmniFocus folder in your home directory and rename OmniFocus.ofocus (or possibly just OmniFocus if the extension is hidden) to something else. Restart OmniFocus, the default database will be created and the first sync will cause it to ask if you'd like to replace your database with the sync database. When you're sure that everything went the way you wanted, you can safely delete the renamed copy.

Thanks whpalmer4. You've been very helpful tonight on a couple of threads.
