Is it possible to add a 'hyperlink' function that allows the following?

1) movement to another part of the chart in 'view mode'
2) The opening of a new file in a different window
3) the opening of a new file in the same window

I am trying to make 'drill down' quality system flowcharts....that show a number of levels.

1. Overall View
2. Process view
3. Detailled view
4. Text documents/checklists etc (cannot be done in Graffle....yet!!)

Can do it in Visio but so ugly and unwieldy!!

You can do the first two using the Action Inspector, I don't know about that third option, seems odd to open a new file in the same window.

Hi Joel: Your reply (to which i am "replying") was very helpful (it wasn't my question, someone else's)–so if i have to stop there, that's probably fine; however, i would prefer to do something slightly different: I want to to make a master chart with several layers below–e.g., if it were an org chart, then the first level migth show the CEO and VPs, then when you click on a VP box, you get another org chart showing the Division Mgrs, and so on. Anyway, i would prefer to have all of those charts in the same OG file (maybe as different layers or canvases?) but i don't see the option in the "Action Inspector." By the way, i have OG Pro, 4.2 something beta. Thanks and Regards, –doug

Select the object that you want to click to jump elsewhere. In the Action inspector, select Jump elsewhere and in the pane below, the list of canvasses will appear along with a scaled view of each canvas (you can zoom in). Pick the object on the scaled view of the canvas that you want to jump to when you click the action (using the Action browse tool - the pointing hand icon) on the original object:
