Is it possible to move the main database? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I couldn't find this in the FAQ or in searching the forum.

Is there a way to move the default location of the database in OmniFocus for Mac? I have already moved the backups but I'd like to move the database as well. I'm not looking to put it on a server or synced drive or anything unusual, just into a folder where it would be backed up differently than my Library folder. (I'm also not crazy about putting primary data into the Library folder.)

I'm wondering if there some magic key combination that, when opening the app, let's you choose where to put the DB. I tried a couple with no luck.

Thanks,

If I remember correctly, sandboxing requirements are pretty strict regarding where we store that data.

It may be possible to do this via symlinks, but that's not something we officially support...
