I asked for a way to display as you decribed but with the option of doing so for only a few selected actions that i would like to get done today.
I like to start my day by having a look at everything in my kGTD and copying a few down that I would like to get done today. I also do time-blocking. Familiar? See: http://www.davecheong.com/2006/08/14...cused-at-work/

You should also be able to have an item selected in the context list, and when you switch over to the outline, the same item is selected.
This allows you to enter items into the outline close to the item in the context list.
