SnipURL is a handy addition to your Favorites bar, turning loooooong URLs into a short snippet that doesn't get mangled by email applications. For example,

I use SnipURL at least once a day. When it failed a few minutes ago, I thought it was broken ... until the noticed the blocked popup icon in the status bar of my eBay window. I was able to show the blocked SnipURL popup and use it.
I can't figure out why SnipURL works fine on this forum page but not my eBay pages. In both cases, my site preferences are to "Block pop-up windows: Only when not requested."
I have email evidence I used SnipURL on eBay without a problem on 26 Jul 09.
I'm puzzled!
