any ideas how to block video on ESPN? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
When you load the ESPN home page it automatically plays a video. I have an account there, have set my preferences not to play the video but after exiting and returning it loses that setting and begins playing it again.

I’ve tried enabling all the ad blocking functionality in OmniWeb for that specific site, no luck. I’d love to turn that video into a blank area, or at least prevent it from automatically playing.

Any ideas?

Won't even play for me, in OW or FF 3, says I need the latest Flash player. I have 10.x. Stupid coders, serves them right. :-D

Try adding this to your black list:

Code:
sports.espn.go.com/broadband/fpp/indexFrontPage

Wouldn't that be

Code:
sports\.espn\.go\.com/broadband/fpp/indexFrontPage

Both should work, but yes escaping the periods is more correct :)
