Opening a page from Personal Bookmarks doesn't move focus to the page Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
When I double-click a bookmark in my Personal Bookmarks separate window, one of two things happens:

1. The page opens the page in the frontmost page window.

2. If there's no page window, a new one is created.

What's different in these two scenarios is window focus. #1 leaves focus in the Personal Bookmarks window. #2 moves focus to the newly created window.

#1 behavior has three shortcomings:

Usability Bug 1: If the frontmost OmniWeb page window happens to be behind another application's window, it appears the desired page did not open.

Usability Bug 2: When the new page is displayed, the viewer's attention is drawn to that page. But because focus remains with Personal Bookmarks, keyboard shortcuts are not directed to the page the viewer is reading, e.g., Page Down scrolls the Bookmarks window.

Usability Bug 3: Scenarios 1 and 2 are different.
