Synching OF on two Macs Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
As a recent user of OF I have set up my database on my MacBook Air and have the iCal (and .Mac) synchronisation working well. I would like to run a copy of my OF database on my desktop iMac and wondered if more experienced users can give me some guidance. I thought to simply copy the database over to the other machine and then sync with iCal as necessary. This seems straighforward, but I am wondering what happens if I change the structure of the database on one machine (such as adding or rearranging projects or adding contexts). As far as I can see, such actions do not get synchronised via iCal. Maybe we have to wait for the July upgrade to accommodate the needs of the iPhone.

Next month I hope to be synchronising laptop, desktop and iPhone, but it would be nice to have a dry run with two Macs.

Short answer: OmniFocus 1.1 will make you very happy.

'For the time being' answer: You'll want to look in the 'OmniFocus on multiple computers' section of the OmniFocus Forum FAQ.
