Suggeston: OF should alert me when I am deleting invisible items Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Deadly Deletion

I went looking for projects that I had on hold, and all of them were gone.

Luckily, OF has an increadible backup system!
I went back to a project file and found all my on hold items.
It thinking about how I lost those items... here is what happened.

I was working with one OmniProject file, stored on a keychain, that I shuttled back and forth between work.
I've run into some issues with this. So I deleted my work folder at home.
I them moved all my projects out of the home folder.
It was empty... so I deleted it.

Only now do I realize what happened.
I was looking at my active projects.
All my pending and on hold projects were in my folder when I deleted it.
And so they were deleted.

A suggestion for OmniFocus.
When deleting a folder that contains projects not visible... a warning message should appear letting me know that I am about to delete projects along with the folder.

Another cool thing I love about OmniFocus. I can have two project files open, select multiple projects, and then drag them to another project and they are added.

This is gorgeous!
