Anyone know if it is possible to have a heading span across all the columns of a multi-column outline?

Anyone know if it is possible to have a heading span across all the columns of a multi-column outline?

No, that isn't possible. You can however show the document title which appears above the column titles and does span the width across columns. To do this, go to View -> Show Outline Title -> Always. And you can edit the title to be whatever you want.
