Repeat data requiring OF 1.14 for iPhone, which is not available [Shipped 3/26] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Important: Please also update to OmniFocus 1.14 for iPhone and OmniFocus 1.5 for iPad after updating to OmniFocus 1.10 for Mac. Older releases of OmniFocus do not understand this new repeat data. If you edit or complete one of these items using a previous release of OmniFocus, you will lose the weekday repeat specification.
Ok, but 1.14 is not on the appstore yet. now what?

Wait until it's approved, is what.

You don't have to wait if you don't use the iPhone to check off or edit any repeating tasks which use the new functionality. This is what I did during the beta testing of the feature with a device that couldn't use the beta version.

Maybe that's what Omni should have done before they released the new version of OF for Mac, yes?

Our plan had been to get all 3 released together, to avoid precisely this situation.

Several issues collided with rather unfortunate timing, including the iPhone crashes and the release of the new iPads. (The previous iPad release had some pretty terrible drawing issues on the 3rd generation iPads.)

We chose to release the iPad and Mac updates, with the hope that the iPhone app would follow shortly. Obviously, it didn't work out that way.

As whpalmer4 says above,

We're still working with Apple to get the iPhone update out as soon as possible.

Any idea when 1.14 will be released?

Just as soon as it gets through Apple's review process.

You'd think their review wouldn't take 6 days! They're probably slammed with 5.1 updates I guess...

Actually, it often does take about a week. Over this past week, it seems like they've placed a big priority on getting updates for the Retina-display on iPad through the review process really quickly (Instapaper's update was approved in just a couple hours, last Friday). Non-universal iPhone apps are probably experiencing a relatively longer average review times.

Also, from the sounds of it, the updated iPhone app wasn't submitted for review until after the other updates were already released -- it was probably submitted around the start of this week, so even now it's only been maybe 2-4 days in review

For posterity's sake, I will note that 1.14 for iPhone was released last Monday.
