Remove Caution Tape?? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
UI is a BIG deal to me. The caution tape along the title bar in OF 1.1 is really, really throwing off my feng shui! Might anyone have a method for removing it?

Yes, it's horible isn't it. Obviously it's there to warn that you're using alpha/beta software, but it seams rather unecessary to me.

I doubt it can be removed.

You can enter this command in Terminal to remove the stripes:
defaults write com.omnigroup.OmniFocus AddConstructionWarning -bool NO

Hmm thanks, but it's not working here I'm afraid. I quit OF, did this in terminal (appeared to work):

But still got this when I re-launched OF:

Also, will this survive a version upgrade?

Mark

Whoops, that command was for our “Debug” builds. I've edited the command to work for the normal sneaky peek builds.

Thanks - that works. Lets see if the setting holds next build.

Wow, I'd gotten so used to the striping being there, it almost looks odd without it. :)

Just in case anyone is interested, this setting does syrvive a version upgrade.

Bill- Thanks so much!
