after a while of surfing with omniweb, mac os x makes additional swapfiles. i have 384 MB of memory and normally it happenes rarely that swapfiles are created.
it seems there is a connection between the leak java appletts

Oops!

I totally mis-understood that "384" was how much OmniWeb was using.

Firefox/Minefield (52MB).

I just launched OmniWeb and opened a set of tabs. Uses 270MB (6000MB virtual). Seems to be about 1:2 and haven't watched to see it it gradually 'eats' more memory or just reaches and stays there.

I did run into a web site, that seemed to have corrupted OmniWeb and I eventually had to drag a new copy from the DMG, which fixed whatever problems I was having (very slow and sluggish).

sp12 seems to (currently) have a more reasonable memory usage on my system Real 129, virtual 504.

It all depends on the sites that get visited. I switched to a workspace that I know is a hog:
OmniWeb 556MB real, 1.06GB VM.
