copying from powerpoint image Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hi there,

I am wondering if there is a simple way to copy an image from a powerpoint presentation to an omnigraffle image. At the moment I can copy the entire slide just fine but the powerpoint image is actually a bunch of smaller icons and graphic elements and text that are not grouped. But when I copy those elements and icons the entire image is grouped when bringing it to omnigraffle.

the only other option that I can think of is to cut and paste each element and icon separately. Is there another option that I did not thing of?

Cheers,

Noah

I'm using Office 2008. When you copy and paste into OmniGraffle, you get a PDF image. It can maintain it's sharp vector edges when being resized, but as you've found all the objects you copy become merged into that one PDF.

If what you're trying to do is copy from Office to OG and still be able to edit the shapes as separate objects, I don't think that's currently possible.
