I want to draw a typical UML diagram which shows the decision points and avenues for a software system. I can't see any defaults/templates which match.
Any suggestions?

Hop onto graffletopia and have a look. Search for UML, there are several templates there.
You can get to graffletopia from the help menu in Omnigraffle or you can set the search bar in the stencil inspector to search graffletopia. HTH -- Morgan
