Is it possible to change the displayed column width? Especially for the context column?

If you go back to the Sneaky Peek page, you'll notice the lines:

Known issues:
Column widths cannot be changed

in the meantime:

defaults for column widths:

ProjectColumnWidth
ContextColumnWidth
DurationColumnWidth
StartDateColumnWidth
DueDateColumnWidth

We still need to add UI for controlling these, but for now you can get at them with commands like:

"defaults write com.omnigroup.OmniFocus ProjectColumnWidth -int 200"

could you be a little more specific? where would I run that command? in an applescript? in terminal? in my head?

thanks!

That's a terminal command.

thanks, curt. I gather that I don't have to worry about where I am when I run the command, and that it adds something some some file somewhere in my library, probably a file named "com.omnigroup.OmniFocus"....

That's right. The actual command is 'default'. The rest of the given text provides the arguments. The sample command that xmas gave appends a new preference to the com.omnigroup.OmniFocus.plist file inside ~/Library/Preferences. Other arguments to 'default' can used to view hidden preference settings or delete them. You can enter 'man default' at a Terminal prompt to see more information. ('man' stands for "manual".)
