Beach ball of death because of large historyindex.ox Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
This morning I could neither switch to OW nor launch OW. I got the beach ball of death both times, indefinitely. I had to force quit both times.

My historyindex.ox file was over 8 Mb. I deleted and the associated log, and OW launched fine.

Shouldn't OW have a means of limiting the size of this file in order to maintain good performance? Barring that, will this db system ever be changed?

We plan on using a new database format in the future. In the meantime, you might remembering fewer days worth of history and see if that helps. Sorry for the trouble.
