20 minute startup delay Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
In the current build (5.9, sneaky peek 5, 612.0.91385), and the previous one, OmniWeb is now taking at least 20 minutes (yes, MINUTES) to open. There is also a very very long delay when closing, but perhaps not as long. Obviously, this makes the product unusable.

Is this a known problem? Are there any incantations I should perform?

Thanks,

eo

I believe this is a problem with the History.plist in ~/Library/Application Support/OmniWeb 5/ doubling in size on every launch -- Trash that file and you should be able to launch, expect a fix fairly soon.

Trashing History.plist and then updating to r91416 (or later) should get this resolved for you.

So are you saying that a 206 MB History.plist file could be a problem? :)
