Wish: turn off notification of Automatic Backup Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
It seems that almost every time I return from being away from my Mac, I have to manually dismissed a Growl notice from OmniFocus that an automatic backup has been performed.

After many months of dismissing this message, I realize it's a useless message (for me, at least). I would be much happier if OmniFocus would stop pestering me with this message. I briefly considered blocking all Growl notifications from OmniFocus, but I DO appreciate seeing the due and past-due notices.

Please give us a way to turn off notification of auto-backup.

I have automatic backup notifications turned off in Growl using the Growl>Applications>OmniFocus>Configure in system preferences. The pull down allows you to customize each type of notification settings.

Is this not what your looking for???

That does the trick.

Although I knew I could disable Growl for a specific application, I had not noticed Growl's application-specific configuration. To me, splitting application tuning between applications and Growl seems like poor user experience design. I'd much rather have each application take command of its preferences.

I've taken a quick look at Growl's configuration, and I'm getting a "maze of twisty passages, all the same" feeling.
