It seems that many application help windows still take forever to open up, even on a new MacBook with maximum RAM. OW does not have this issue, however, since "help" is localized as a file opened by the browser. Simple yet effective! Open up the Help window under Safari and compare it to the help file in OW.

Thanks! I didn't find on one plist and there was no help folder under ~library/caches, but trashing the other preferences listed did speed things up greatly.
