Searching for exact estimated time Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I was creating some new perspectives the other day, and I had created some actions which had varying estimated times, 5 mins, 10 mins, 15 mins etc

However, when you do a search for "5 mins" it will also show the "15 mins" actions as "5 mins" is in the search string

Also, when you select times from the dropdown, it means 'up to and including' - so choosing 15 mins will show you to do that you estimate to be UP TO 15 minutes long - which of course includes all the 10 and 5 min long estimated actions

Not being able to change this is a bit annoying. I was quite looking forward to just seeing actions which I estimated to take 30 mins, or 10, or an hour or two. One of the main reasons being that things I estimate to take longer usually involve more energy and brain power.

Please give us the option of seeing exact timing searches! I wan to be able to create a perspective that only shows actions that I estimate will take half an hour and don't want them lost in a sea of all the other actions which will take less than half an hour!

If you display your results ungrouped, and sort by duration, it's a bit easier to spot the longer actions in the sea of smaller ones.
