OmniOutliner 4 test builds crash in menu validation [between r198297 and r198325] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
This morning I tried to change the font in a new OO 4-document. That caused a crash of the current beta. Since then OO keeps crashing. Also after complete removal, reboot of my iMac, reinstall of beta. Crash, crash, crash, one after the other. I sent in a host of reports. Now there seems to be no way I can gat back to testing OO 4. I tried current an older beta's, everything crashes. Now what?

By current build I mean r198324, nov 8, 2013 01:48:32 PST.

It looks like you're running into an issue introduced in r198297 along with some of our work-in-progress code for audio recording. Not to imply that you're using audio recording; the code in question was triggered by menu validation.

This crash shouldn't happen in builds earlier than r198297, and will be fixed in builds after r198325. Sorry for the trouble! (And thanks for sending in those crash reports! That made the problem very easy to track down.)

No thanks are needed, I am glad to be able to help a little. Thank you for your explanation. I will go back to an earlier build (or a newer one, if it is ready yet). Keep those updates coming ;)

Ah! With the newer builds (above r198325) things are fine again. No more crashes. And the font settings in the inspector work fine now. Thanks!!

Really looking forward to that. Can't wait to see how it works (made a few predictions(?) as to how it might work here).
