Embedding fonts in exported PDFs Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Does OmniGraffle embed the fonts used in a diagram when it is exported to PDF?

I hope so. If not, I hope it will be implemented soon. :)

If you view your pdf in Adobe Reader, and examine its properties, you will see that the fonts are embedded.

Almost correct. Try it with fonts in italic. You will see that Helvetica-Oblique font is not embedded. And it is quite inconvenient, since when doing figures with simple formulae you usually want to use italic, which you can't since the font does not get embedded. In its turn LaTeX, even when said to embed all the fonts, ignores those used in pdf figures.
