Michael, I'm glad you found the solution - in case other folks run across this, it sounds like he was clicking on the controls used to filter the stuff that OmniFocus shows in the window, rather than the column headers.
When the column headers are visible, you should see "Name", "Project", "Context", and the other labels that make it clearer what the purpose of each column is.

bnbarry34, I'm going to go ahead and merge this thread with an earlier one that answers the same question; the steps in the first thread cover what CatOne is recommending, and include an additional step which may help.

HA! yes... thanks that works. "pay attention to what has your attention" and though it was a small issue, adding that column every time i was in OF definitely had my attention.
