I set the clipping shortcut in OF to Command-Control-Space. Then I closed all other applications, and re-opened. I tried using this shortcut in both Safari and Camino and I get a system error beep. Nothing happens.
Am I doing something wrong?

Did you restart those applications? If you are on 10.4, service shortcuts don't get update until the next time the sending application is launched. 10.5 (at least sometimes, but seemingly not always) can update them dynamically.

I figured out what was happening. Apparently command-control-space wasn't a valid shortcut. I changed it to something else and it worked.
