US Nationals of Skydiving Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hello everyone,

I am one of the project managers for the US National Championships of Skydiving this year. We have switched to all macs and recently found OmniPlan. We are going to use this software to manage the whole event. I am needing to know the best way to manage our staff and volunteers with this software.

Can you collaborate with Omni Plan?

What would be the best way to communicate new tasks and resources with our staff?

We work in the main office and all of our staff are out in the field working many different jobs. We would like to update OminPlan with new information and have this available to them at their house, office or place of work.

How can we do this?

The best way to communicate your project to everyone would be to export as a Full HTML Report and host that on a webserver. Anyone using a modern web browser with internet access will be able to view the HTML report. Individual iCalendar files for each staff resource in the project are generated in the report as well.

There is no collaboration feature to this, so if your staff needs to make a change they'll have to contact the project manager directly and have him/her commit any changes. We'll be working on collaboration features in the next version of OmniPlan.
