Omitting attachments with Clip-O-Tron Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I create a large number of action items from emails that have document attachments. I don't need the documents in my OF database. I would be happy with either a simple link or nothing at all, as I routinely go back to the original email when I work on the action item.

Is there a way to not copy the attachments when sending the email to OF?

Instead of selecting the email from Apple Mail's list view, select some bit of text from inside the message (e.g. the subject line or some bit of text from the message body). Then press your clipping shortcut and a new action will be created in OmniFocus with just the selected text and a link back to the original message -- no attachments, no full text.

Hope this helps.
