Omnidonation of OF for education [semi OT] Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Kudos to Ken Case and The OmniGroup for an amazing donation of OmniFocus to the entire Maine Learning Technology Initiative (MLTI), which is a part of the Maine Department of Education. The current OF deployment is now about 60K!

Wow, that's quite impressive. Congratulations to all involved!

My read was that's 60,000 new seats, not 60,000 total...wonder how many new forum members that will bring us? :-)
I wish someone had of introduced me to GTD in some way back when I was in school. Good work :)
All disclaimers etc. in place, I had a conversation with Kerry about this (I met him at the GTD Summit), and he said that he believes the donation grows as the number of devices requested by schools grows too, and he estimated the current deployment at 60K.

Thanks Ken and Omni Group - that's very generous of you!

(Of course, raising a generation of HS students who'll want OmniFocus when they go to college or start their working life isn't bad for the bottom line either!)
