May I ask approximately when we can expect to see OmniFocus 1.8? I can't wait until it can actually update the reminders calendar rather than relying on the iPhone version for this purpose, as is the case at the moment.

Any link to a "sneeky peek" perhaps?

No sneaky peeks for 1.8 have been posted yet, although I suspect they're not too far off now.

I hope he does. There are no iPad customers yet, but there are thousands of us waiting (drooling) in front of our Macs.

1.8 preview has been discussed for last several months. It was sort of talked about coming out soon last December of 2009, but now it's February of 2010, and still no preview.

I guess everyone has a different definition of "soon" I guess.

I think this is a good example of why Omni usually resists discussing release dates!

It's been my professional experience that software releases where meeting the external schedule was the most important goal rarely provided satisfaction for vendor or customer.
