yEd compatibility? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Prev Previous Post   Next Post Next
As a technical communicator at my company I'm using OmniGraffle (standard) - and very happy with it too. However, there are some others here using either Visio (because they're a PC user) or yEd (because they don't do so many diagrams so get only a free app).

I'm aware that I would need OmniG Pro to import Visio files, but are there any common file formats that we could use to pass diagrams between Visio and OmniG standard?

I've downloaded yEd and looked at the yEd and OmniG openable and exportable file formats, but I can't find anything in common. Can diagrams created in yEd/OmniG be saved/exported to a common compatible vector file format and edited with either app?
