linking to content not yet created? Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
I'm trying to make an active "mind map" (for want of a better term) of my company's science and technology.

To do this, I want to make every node clickable, with a link to that node's "frame" (which could be a canvas or layer or whatever). That link will be the same on all frames, which will have the same nodes and links, but might have different information highlit. The attached document is a painful attempt to get there, but there doesn't seem to be any way to add an active link to all "corresponding" nodes in each frame, nor is there a way to put all the links in the master frame and make them point to the right frame which I have yet to create.

Furthermore, I expect to want to update this with new nodes or links from time to time, and the complexity of updating every frame with the new (identical) nodes and links is daunting.

The attached zipped graffle file shows the kludgy way I'm currently forced to approach the problem.

It seems like this must be a common problem. Is there some way to get around this?
