Project Percent Completed Thread Tools Search this Thread Display Modes
Hello,

I am a new registered user of OmniOutliner.

Is there a way for the parent to reflect in percent how many of the children tasks are completed? For example:

33% [ ] Parent Task
[ ] Child task 1
[x] Child task 2
[ ] Child task 3

I know I can use the numbers column but then every time I add a new task I would have to figure by hand what the new percentage is for that task.

All tasks are weighted equal.

Thank you!

I figured it out:

I Created a column and called it "% Completed." I defined the column type to be "Number," the Summary to be "Average Leaves," and the Format to be "10000%."

As I work the project, I assign what the percent completion is for each task. All the tasks get rolled up to the parent for the total percent completed.
