Is there any way to associate a table of different sizes for an object for easy selection?

example

I use the same object for every ball valve in diagram but the dimensions are different for 3", 4" 6", etc.

Is there any way to select 4" from a menu and have the object automatically resize to the proper dimensions?

How about a stencil showing the different sizes? You grab the 6" ball valve object off the stencil when you need it.
