OK, I like the idea of highlighting the search field to help communicate that content is being filtered by an active search (see latest sneaky peak). But...
Am I the only one who thinks the aesthetics of the current implementation could use some refinement? It just doesn't feel like it fits with OmniFocus' otherwise handsome exterior.
(1) First off, the color is quite jarring. Maybe that's a good thing. But, hmm, this is going to take some getting-used-to. Is there nothing that could be done to make it seem more fitting?
(2) This is my real issue: after typing in a search term (and the field changes color), the magnifying glass and little "X" button drop several pixels lower than they originally appeared. Yeah, it's purely cosmetic, but it gives the impression of being half-baked and shoddy. That'll be cleaned up, right?
