Badge count in project view currently adds both items that are due today and tomorrow. Is there a way to have it add only items that are for today?

Go to preferences, data tab
Change the 'due soon' entry to 24 hrs rather than 2 days. I used to use due dates as 'reminders' but became 'blind' to the red badges :-( Unless your deadlines are actual deadlines (e.g. submit tax return before penalties apply) you might find a workflow where you use flags for 'stuff for today' helpful. At the start of the day, clear any remaining flags from yesterday, look at your time availability, using an appropriate perspective then flag just the items that you need/can do today.

Note that 24 hours means just that, so depending on the current time and the due date time, you may still see items that are due today and due tomorrow.
