We get project openers ( the little twisty triangle) for nested tasks.
Is there a way to get similar for tasks-within-tasks?

Those "little twisty triangles" are typically called "disclosure triangles" in Mac OS X. But I'm not sure what you mean by "tasks-within-tasks"? Can you provide a little more detail?

If you mean in a task's note field, then the answer is no. Note fields do not currently support any outlining features; they only support styled text (rich text).
